Adult Treatment

Her voice was clear in his head, her words still ringing in his mind. Popuri told him to treat her like an adult, because so many others treated her as though she were a child. But how could they, when she was so obviously a a woman, instead of just a girl. Perhaps she was a little childish in the way she acted, the way she flushed when she talked to him over things that shouldn't embarrass her... but that only added to her charm.

She was much like her mother Lillia, so reserved and respectful with a great love of chickens, so full of life regardless of illness. Looking at the two you could just tell they were mother and daughter, they shared the same fair features and pale complexion, the same long and flowing pink hair; it was like looking at the same woman at two different ages, two different points of her life.

Popuri followed as best she could, her small hand in his own; he had taken hold of it moments after hearing her say that. It was so sudden, so shocking, but she didn't fight him. She was so curious as to what he was going to do and where they were going to go, her cheeks were a bit red as she considered what he may be thinking of. She was smitten with him and he seemed to be smitten with her, but the two had never really shown any affection for one another beyond his giving her some gifts and their little chats.
