Sin In A WInery

The Aja Winery, serving both as a home and a business stood as a silent testament to an age old art; the craft of wine making. Named for the daughter of Duke, the owner, it was the center of the town; atleast from the point of view of those who loved their booze. But it was a broken home, Duke and his wife Manna were on ill terms for many years, causing their daughter, the namesake of the winery to move away.

Their only child gone and left to their own devices, Manna and Duke managed to keep their marriage together. But there was very little love in it... truly, it seemed that Duke loved his wine more than his poor wife. He spent his days in the cellar, both making and drinking his wine, and in the evenings he took to the local inn to talk with his friends and drink more wine. Left alone most of the time, poor Manna had little to look forward to, save for her daily chats with Sasha and Anna, two local women.

Despite being around such a horrible man most of the time, Manna always had a smile on her lips. She was cheerful, she had a zeal for life and conversation. Indeed, the woman could talk for hours on end if somebody gave her the chance, most likely in an attempt to make up for having such a lack of it with her husband. She was a good and decent woman, she was the type that one didn't expect to fall into immorality... but she did.

Given her home life, where the man who called himself her husband showed her so little attention and love, Manna fell into temptation. He was such a kind and gentle young man, the very same who had taken over the farm just to the south of town. He was attentive to her, always coming to see her while her husband was busy with his own things. They talked, they laughed, they enjoyed one another's company... and for a time, he was almost like a son to her.

However, things changed slowly between them. A comment here and there about the way she looked, a compliment about her hair, just small things that wouldn't have normally hit very deep. But then, given how Duke was to her, she was staved for male attention and took what he said to heart. Manna began to look forward to her time with him, not because she liked being his friend, but because she wanted to parade herself around him, to elicit compliments. Before she knew it, the young man seemed to be trying to woo her by bringing her various onjects, mostly jewelery crafted by the blacksmith. They were all very well made, crafted from a mineral found deep below the surface of the Earth.

Not only was he working his own farm in order to survive, but he was also mining for the materials for these pieces of jewelery. Flattered beyond belief, Manna felt herself slipping further into her immorality, her mind began to wander and think of being with this man, emotionally... and physically. He was so much younger than Duke, his body was much more firm.. she looked at him with desire and he returned it with equal passion; he wanted her in every possible way.

He began to act on this desire, his hands touching her in places that she had all but forgotten about when Duke was away, but no matter how much she wanted it she simply couldn't bring herself to go that far. She was a married woman, she was a mother... she was so much older than him. How could she even begin to think of doing such things with a man that much younger, and worse, doing so when she took a vow to love and honor Duke.
